Chapel Porth Camp Site, Cornwall
The last couple of months have been, to say the
least some of the most
exciting times I have had. A historic occasion for Leaves of Life, where
we
had our first Medical Missionary Course, and what a momentous occasion it
was to see 35 students finishing the course with high expectations of
going
into the community to share the information they had gleaned with others!
Now, you may have been lead to believe that after
such an exciting and
intensive course we would have earned our rest! Well not so for the time
being....I still had to tie up all the loose ends from the course and plan
a
follow up programme for the students, as well as confirm dates for cooking
schools and health seminars...believe me, it never slows down when you are
in the hot seat!!! I can tell you, it is always with some trepidation that
I
have to drag myself away from the business and rest a while. Never the
less
my stay in Cornwall had been booked and my daughter was already down there
and I had been asked to conduct a health seminar whilst there, so that was
that !

On Friday at 4.00pm on the 11 of August, 2000, my
close friend, her kids,
luggage, sleeping bags and myself were ready to search out the great
British surfers paradise and what an amazing experience it was to wake up
on the top of a hill at a camp site in Chapel Porth, St Agnes, Cornwall
where the oxygen, let alone the scenery is enough to blow your breath
away!
The camp is a "stones throw away" from one of the many secluded
coves and
bays that you will find dotted around that coast line, where once many a
smuggler would have braced it's shores. Instead of which you now find sun
bleached surfers looking for the next "big surf".

If you think the coast line is dramatic then just
wait till you see the
sunsets, you don't have to go to the other side of the world to experience
some of the most dramatic fusions of reds, oranges and purples that
cascade
across the sky in a perfectly harmonious balance. Even the most talented
artist could not replicate the Creator's handy work!

Whilst in Cornwall I had the most wonderful
opportunity to tour around the
Eden Project which is due to open fully in March Next year. The name Eden
is most apt, the project being one of the most dynamic ecological and
environmental feats to brace us in this new century, and how fitting that
such a project should help us to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding
of the natural laws & resources we have available to us on this
planet.
